High Load Investigation on Server

Hello support,

Since this morning, our Ubuntu 22.04 LTS server (192.168.100.42) has been experiencing extremely high load. The website hosted on it is timing out repeatedly.

I've checked the CPU usage via htop and it seems to be maxing out on all cores, but I can't identify which specific process is causing it. Could you please investigate?

Hello Demo User,

We've taken a look at your server. It appears that a MySQL query connected to your recent database migration was looping indefinitely, causing the huge CPU spikes.

We have safely restarted the database service and optimized the temporary buffer configuration to prevent it from crashing the system. Load has returned to under 0.50 average. Let us know if the site is loading properly for you now!
